Special Weather Statements in effect for Annapolis, Digby, Yarmouth, Shelburne, Queens, Lunenburg, Halifax and Guysborough Counties. Higher than normal water levels. The next few days will bring particularly high tides along the coast of Nova Scotia. A trough of low pressure will pass over the province this afternoon giving brisk southerly winds late in the day today and Thursday. These southerly winds combined with the higher than normal tides will result in higher than normal water levels and some rough surf along parts of the Fundy and Atlantic coastlines possibly resulting in local flooding. The public is advised to monitor future forecasts and warnings as warnings may be required or extended.
