Special Weather statement issued: A low pressure system approaching the Lower Great Lakes from the American Midwest is ushering in a warm and very moist airmass. Scattered thunderstorms are forecast to move across Southwestern Ontario this evening and overnight with heavy downpours associated. There is still some uncertainty regarding the development and track of this weather system. However rainfall amounts of 30 to 50 mm are possible, with local amounts potentially exceeding 50 mm. Regions near to Lake Erie are most likely to receive the higher rainfall amounts.
