Special evening at the Jamaica Association of Montreals 52nd Annual Heroes Dinner in Côte des Neiges. Association President Noel Alexander ( who was my neighbour growing up in Snowdon) announced his retirement after decades at the helm of his community. He is shown in the picture below with Mount Royal MP Irwin Cotler, who received this years Award, and Dr. Anita Brown. Standing in top picture I am with CDN councillor Marvin Rotrand,dean of Montreals city council; DDO councillor Errol Johnson; the evenings special guest speaker Ontario Conservative Sen. Rev. Don Meredith; Aston Mendes (to my left) treasurer of the Jamaica Association and Montreal Executive Committee member Mary Deros.
