Special sharing needed.....yesterday we took in this adorably sweet older girl named Greta. This poor pooch was found as a stray in nearby MD. She was matted, skinny and shaking in the cold. Her thin fur did nothing to protect her from the elements. She got a grooming and some pampering at the shelter...but then her time was running out. The staff loved her and found her so sweet and even gathered donations to have her spayed and get a cyst removed from her paw. Greta is likely at least 10 years old. She LOVES people...will paw at you for petting and then kiss your face. She seems to be mostly deaf and she clearly has some mild arthritis. But otherwise, the vet found her to be in decent shape. Shes a quiet gentle girl who is fine with other dogs and loves to snooze. We need an extra special home for her - just someone who is willing to take in a senior dog and let her live out her years sleeping in a nice soft bed, enjoying good meals, the occasional bone and nice leisurely walks. Please share widely...we know there is someone out there who will appreciate this senior girl and give her the life she deserves. Here are her before and after photos...she is a beauty!
