Special thanks to members of the Steering Committee for Downtown Silsbee Revitalization Group for the creativity, long hours, wonderful spirit, and hard work to make this years Christmas Downtown a success! These are really the unsung heros of everything that went on, so kudos!!! Bertie Standley is in charge of the committee that organized decorating, along with the Garden Club and Friends of the Library, Dennis Kilcrease was our Christmas tree guy, staking down the trees and making sure we had electricity to light them up--he was also our Santa, David Chapman was our all-around go-to man, always available for whatever we needed, including helping with the Christmas trees, Christopher Smith was in charge of counting our very little money and trying to find more plus he got us all of our printing and signs at cost, Kathy Merritt and Mike Merritt were everywhere, it seems, but they were in charge of organizing the Polar Express night and the float in the parade, as well as being in costume at every Dickens Downtown. Janel Tennison jumped in late and took anything we needed her to do, Rhonda Champagne also joined us late and was our go-getter and main cheerleader, as well as a real worker, Julia Diane Gore was also everywhere--working on the float, in costume, communicating with business owners, she is the one to call if you need it done yesterday! These people are the reason we were successful this year and we say a big thank you!!!!!
