Special thanks to the more than 40 attendees who came to our Veterans Quarterly Town Hall Meeting held yesterday, Thursday, December 18, 2014. The meeting was well attended by a cross section of important stakeholders consisting of Veterans, family members and Veteran advocate groups. After some initial remarks by Medical Center Director James Cody, there was a an hour exchange of questions and answers covering a wide range of topics. Speakers from the audience presented Director Cody with an assortment of questions having to do with access to care, transportation, provider communication, non-VA care and billing. Several Veterans were very complimentary of the care they have received at the Medical Center. Individual Veterans met key members of the Medical Center staff and VBA representatives after the event to address very specific issues in a private setting. The next Veterans Quarterly Town Hall Meeting will be announced when as soon as it has been scheduled.
