Specialized Alternatives for Families and Youth (SAFY) of America Statewide Foster Parent Recruiter – full-time Greenville, Charleston and Columbia, South Carolina Job Description This position is responsible for the recruitment activities for foster parents in South Carolina. This position is a statewide position that will cover all of our South Carolina locations: Greenville, Charleston and Columbia. Applicants must be able to work/travel to these locations. This will be accomplished through the following: · Works individually and in conjunction with other staff, foster parents and community-based volunteers to develop and implement an on-going recruitment campaign to attract people interested in becoming foster parents using a creative variety of media and presentation formats. · Responsible for immediate follow-up to all inquiries from prospective foster parents and follow-through during PreLicensing process until license attained. · Recruitment planning includes the identification of the target market, analysis of the target market, and the development of strategies to deliver our recruitment message to the target market. · Coordinate, plan, schedule, and facilitate or oversee speaking engagements at community/civic organizations as needed. · Identify, coordinate and participate in recruitment opportunities such as foster parent/child welfare conferences, trainings and community events. · Management of a marketing/sales/public relations budget within guidelines. · Monitor competitors’ foster parent recruitment and advertising activities. · Provide reports to supervisor concerning activities, prospective foster parents inquiry or recruited and media source utilized. · Serve as key liaison with community through organizations, attending events and regular attendance at community meetings. Job Requirements Educational Requirements: · Bachelors Degree in the field of business, sales, or behavioral sciences. Experience Requirements: · Two years of experience in a business related field. · Proven expertise with public speaking · Knowledge of non-profit organizational marketing and/or the child welfare industry.
