Specific Prayer Points for the City of Detroit 1. Prayer for Revival and restoration and renewal in the City of Detroit. Lord we pray for the welfare of the City and the people of the City for good. May the LORD bless the City of Detroit and keep the residents of the City; the LORD make his face shine upon the City of Detroit and be gracious to the City and its residents; the LORD turn his face toward the City of Detroit and give the city and its residents peace. (Num 6:24-26 NIV) Pray that the City and the citizens have a repentant heart for allowing greed, disorder, racism and corruption, apathy to exist. 2.Pray for godly and righteous leaders to lead the city of Detroit with the Spirit of Nehemiah and Joseph with God ideas to protect and provide for the citizens of the City. . For God-given wisdom for all leaders in City of Detroit. May the Lord reveal Himself for a personal relationship with each one, and open their ears so they will know the voice of God and be lead by His direction during these hard times. (Daniel 2:19-23) 3.. Pray for the government of the City of Detroit. Pray for the government that is concerned about its citizens and has the needs of the people in mind. Pray for the Building and Safety Department, Finance, Mayor, and the City Council and each aspect of the government for wisdom, righteousness, integrity, order, and resources. 4. Pray for Emergency Manager Orr and the Governor - pray for salvation, integrity, reasonableness without personal and political agendas, God’s wisdom. Know that God can touch the so-called “King’s heart”. The word tells us to pray for those who have rule over us. (1Timothy 2:1-3) 5. Pray that wise men and women like Joseph and Daniel will be raised up with abilities to solve problems and bring Godly influences to the leaders of the City of Detroit. (Proverbs 18:16) 6. Pray for our police officers, fire fighters for safety, integrity, honesty and health and fair pay. Pray that God will enable the City of Detroit ’s police department to effectively address crime issues, violence, corruption and uphold the law. (Proverbs 11:10) Pray for an increase of men and women to serve with integrity and that they get the pay raises they deserve. Pray that police and firefighters will have compassion for the people of and respond accordingly with insight into what an individual may be going through at the time. 7.. Pray that God will protect every firefighter and police officer in the City of Detroit City so that no harm will befall them in the line of duty, and for peace in their homes and marriages. 8. Prayer against crime and vice. Pray for safety and protection for all. Pray against mass shootings and killings in the City of Detroit . Rebuke the spirit of violence. Cry out for peace, justice and compassion
