Speech by Barnaby Joyce to the Committee of Economic Dvelopment of Australia [CEDA] He says, The family farm is still the fundamental core to the nation. We need create the greatest access for people who want to access the global market. We have to create a more fluid connection between our current mining and urban infrastructure. He says Australia needs to build greater inter-nodal access between various and the population centers. Its an absurdity that in 2014, that if you want to drive from east to the west of this nation, on a sealed road, you have two alternatives. How would China or the US accept a concept like that? He finishes by saying that despite strong results from his portfolio, there is still much to be done to in Australian agribusiness and that he has a major vision for the future. Recorded at the 2014 State of the Nation, held at the Parliament House, Canberra, on 23-24 June. CEDA -- the Committee for Economic Development of Australia -- is a respected independent national organisation with an engaged cross-sector membership.
