Spencer and Woodson Win Fall Golf League During the fall, the Greene Hills Golf and Swim Club sponsors a Thursday Night Mixed League which is limited to 36 people or 18 teams. All 2 person teams are divided into groups according to their handicaps and play each other from August 21st to Oct 6 with a culminating dinner that night. The leader for each group then plays the leaders from the other groups in a play off on the following Thursday night to render it to 2 teams for a final match to be held. On hursday night, October 23, the four teams who played each other were Team A: Matt Woodson and Spencer Morris vs Team B: Raymond Powdrell and Gary Lamb; and Team C: Sarah J. Haney and Tommy Tanner vs Team D: Linda Smith and Phillip Snow, winning each of their respective divisions. On Sunday, November 9, the two finalists, Team A and Team D, competed in a head to head match play format that ended on the 16th Hole with Team A, Matthew Woodson and Spencer Morris, placing first with a 3 stroke lead over Team D, Linda Smith and Phillip Snow, placing 2nd overall for the Fall League.
