At the Arataki Honey Visitor Centre you will be able to explore the fascinating world of the humble honeybee in a modern & interactive environment. Here you will be able to purchase from an extensive range of Arataki honeys, fabulous New Zealand made health & beauty ranges including Bee Venom , Royal Jelly, Propolis and Pollen products, souvenirs and gifts. Next you could move onto Mission Estate Winery, New Zealand’s oldest winery and the birthplace of New Zealand wine, producing 5 ranges of wine to suit every palate and occasion Mission Estate is housed in an elegantly restored seminary building which is nestled in the Taradale Hills near Napier, offering visitors sweeping views of vineyards and the coast beyond. The cellar door provides an opportunity to taste from their extensive range of wines. The historic tour (approx. 30 minutes) runs twice daily at 10.30am and 2:00pm, and covers the story behind the beautiful Mission House and how they came to be there today.
