Spending quality time with my 11 year old brother, from the 12 hour bus trip to Grahamstown to the late nights at the cinema, and visiting theme parks, the beach and so on and so forth, has affirmed my view that Im not ready to be a mother. Children are indeed special gifts, but they are expensive gifts too. Money is not important for the sake of it, it is important for enabling one to create an environment conducive for great memories. Nothing is as heart-warming as seeing a child enjoying himself when driving a car at a theme park, or eating whatever they want to eat. I want to have a child when Im ready - emotionally, psychologically and financially. I want to be able to afford to give my son, Mwalimu, great moments. I want him to not see good things only on television, to not taste good food on magazines with his minds eye. I look forward to being a mother in 7 years time. My beautiful son, Mwalimu, shall be loved fiercely.
