Spent 20 min chasing a bird underneath cars and onto a main road. Saw him while driving and did a U turn because he looked scruffed up on the side walk. Broken leg, one tail feather, puncture wound to the chest, plucked back, missing feathers on the wings. Little bugger kept waddling/flying a little away from me but I couldnt leave it to die by being squashed or being cat food. Ended up on the main road- literally stopped traffic! Thank you to the truck driver who stopped and waited (while laughing lol) for me to chuck my jacket over it. And the other drivers for applauding and giving me the thumbs up even tho I felt like a dickhead haha. At Least he had a peaceful passing at a vet rather than dying by predator or car. Rip baby xx
