Spent a couple of days with Mike from San Antonio this past week. He intended to come with one of his good friends but as luck would have it his friend dislocated his hip just prior to the trip {OUCH). Mike drove solo all the way to Venice in hopes for a couple big Reds. Weather was perfect. Light winds, cool in the morning but warmed up into the 70s during the day (earlier this week), absolutely perfect. Low tides in the morning (extremely low) with a strong incoming tide all day. Mike was pumped and so was I . What a couple of days as stated before the weather was perfect and Mike was non stop, catching and releasing Red after Red. Yes, they were cooperative and on the first day Mike released over 30 nice Reds, with his largest 35 pounds. Pretty much the same action on the second day, As much action as one can handle Mike stated towards the end of day two.
