Spent a day chasing perch yesterday, caught a fair few fish early on in the day on me DFR Solid Tip 1-7g rod, working a 1 Kopyto around the edge of the the weed in the shallows produced the most fish, it was literally a fish a cast until the shoal was cleared then on to the next one. Kudos to Will the man for enlightening me on the true art of finesse fishing when we first met, it has certainly changed the game for me and is a damn sight more effective than what I used to do. I would have normally chased the big perch in the deep holes and maybe had 1 decent perch in 5-6 hours where as I probably had 50 fish in a couple of hours today. Finished the evening pike fishing, nothing to write home about other than a couple of missed hits off the surface, me and Yatesy managed a jack each from under the bridge. Oh and dont ask about the kissing pic, I felt compelled to kiss the beautiful perch that arose from the murky depths beneath the graffiti strewn bridge.
