Spent my morning in court for the case against the young men who tore up our mailbox. When the Assistant DA asked what restitution and outcome we wanted, I told him no restitution because we were able to repair the mailbox ourselves. We had a lot of time spent and inconvenience from their behaviors, though. The outcome I requested was that the boys get a clear message that their destructive entertainment has an impact on people, in the hope that they will learn to think about their behaviors in the future and make better choices for themselves and others. We would like to thank the Marshall County Sheriffs office, their detectives, and the ADA for their work. If you happen to know Dutch or Kameron, please let them know that this is an opportunity for them to change their path in life for the better. I hope it works.
