Spent part of my morning at an auction in hope of picking up a few more household items for the Courtyard in these remaining 3 weeks of partnership and perhaps a few items for those relocated on the streets. Score one more rocker and two lamps for the Courtyard and then a sleeping bag for Street Reach for the Homeless along with buying a comforter from the high bidder on a queen size bed complete with bedding - bed 7 bedding theirs - comforter now mine! Tomorrow at the Courtyard features a Mexican cooking class compliments of volunteer, Kristi Perkins Grubb. Bringing along a crock pot and George Foreman grill for the class and then the grill will appear later as a table top prize along with the crock pot. Will save the one I was going to bring for the tabletop with chicken & noodles for next week and use this one since it is handy (thank you, Nancy Hanlon) with another pound of smoked beef brisket, potatoes, carrots, onion, broth and gravy for the winner. Also coming for prizes are a rocker with throw, childrens books and stacking toy, coffee maker with all the stuff and anything else I can squeeze in the van once all the boxes of groceries get in. Another great Sunday on the horizon. Blessed again.
