Spent part of the evening analyzing myself, learned a lot. To start off with, have to offer a public apology to Ronnie Loudvoice InTexas. We got into a heated discussion of the evils of corporations, and through my blind faith and blind luck of not being exposed to this evil in years, I disagreed with him. Then I thought back to the last 37+ years of work experience, how I had been crapped on in some cases, but more important how some corporations skew the rules to the point that, if exposed, these people would be tarred and feathered and tied in stocks in the public square. What ever happened to ethics, to doing the right thing just because the right thing is the right thing to so? We are at a stage in the game where the Ferengi Rules of Acquisition are becoming the business ethics manual for many corporations, as no one is holding them accountable otherwise, and those that remain honest and ethical are at a serious disadvantage. This is not about senior leadership, but the grunt on the floor knowing that they are part of something evil but plugging away at their job anyway, just like the Nazis did during WWII. What a screwed up society we live in. I feel bad for my kids if this crap doesnt turn itself around.
