Spent the afternoon hiking/exploring an old abandoned railroad bed that used to run from Tyler to Mineola. Hiked from the Mineola Nature Preserve to town. The old bed is still in existence, even found a hand made (from native stone) culvert over which the train rode. Much of the bed is overgrown but much is still passable. With a little work, folks will be able to ride this trail. Whoohooooo! Had fun going into that old culvert...what a great adventure...
