Spent the day -- all day! -- doing my civic duty at Yolo Superior Court in Woodland. My oversized jury panel didnt fit in the assigned courtroom, so we had standees and floor-sitters until late in the afternoon, when enough potential jurors had been dismissed to ease the crowding. A design-technology instructor from ARC was chosen as a juror; during questioning, he said he taught mostly students who decided to be architects after washing out of engineering by bombing the math. It would have been a good laugh if I had then admitted my responsibility for generating many of his students, but I wasnt chosen. Im okay with that.
