Spent the day with Mark Walberg, John Goodman, Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt, Johnnie Depp, Anna Kendrick, and others. Now if Nathan Fillion or Gerard Butler had just dropped by, well ... a girl can dream cant she? 😁 So I found The Gambler to be interesting, but a little slow and boring in places. Excellent performances, but the story didnt quite deserve the talent. And for a writer it pains me to say that. While there was some interesting cinematograhy, I felt that the film tried too hard to be both art and commercial and served neither well. As for Into the Woods, the cast is absolutely brilliant, the cinematography and special effects are amazing, and the music fabulous (but then its Stephen Sondheim, so it would be, wouldnt it?). I enjoyed the intertwining of the stories, but I have to say it could have been shorter. I thought it hit its ending twice before it did. I do recommend it, though ... for both young and old. Tomorrow ... Unbroken. 😊❤
