Spent the last several days singing the praises of one of the most beautiful parts of the country. Why would he ever go back? You might ask. Well, here are just a few reasons that might help answer that question... Flowering trees everywhere. Stepping outside into a warm, hazy summer morning. No wind to mess up my perfectly coiffed hair (although the humidity will) Fresh, heavenly peaches from the Farmers market. The crashing ocean waves of the Atlantic (much warmer than the Pacific, or Lake Superior). Tailgating for Wolfpack football with a big ole bucket of Bojangles, a jug of sweet tea, and biscuits. Everything beach. The North Carolina Tar Heels (Ha! A few of yall out there were hoping Id switched allegiances --- NOT so fast...) Very few mosquitos. Warm summer nights listening to the hoot owls and the chirping of a million zillion lonely frogs. Lots and lots and lots of wonderful friends. The mountains of Western Carolina: Very old, misty, and enchanting. Jake, the most lovable rogue in creation. The place where I get to do the most wonderful job in the world, work with some of the best professionals in the world, and care for the most precious (and sometimes the littlest) patients in the world. Its home of the prettiest little southern belle yall ever did see, Rachel Tackman.
