Spent the morning visiting John Barr, his dad worked for Norco - TopicsExpress

Spent the morning visiting John Barr, his dad worked for Norco Founder Rex Clark and ran the Norco Store in the late 1920s. Then, went over to the Nixon Library, where John is the treasurer and checked out the Baseball Exhibit - was accompanied by historian Don Williamson. Below are photos of Johns dad (no hat and carrying a shotgun - his son says he would have not known a thing about how to use it) in 1928. With him is FA Hitchcock (managing director of the North Corona Land Company (Founder Rex Clarks development company in Norco) and an unknown gentleman)). In the photos below they are delivering the pay roll (cash) for the workers employed to build the Norconian Hotel. The would leave a bank in Corona and inconspicuously drive 60+ miles per hour along old Hamner, followed by two deputies on motorcycles with sirens blazing. The first photo is the trio leaving the bank, the second is entering the Norco store, the third is setting up to pay, the forth is the workers.
