Spent yesterday letting Freya Berry take photographs of me - TopicsExpress

Spent yesterday letting Freya Berry take photographs of me blindfolded and with my hands pressed firmly to my buttocks for some cinema website or was it to promote an S&M Dungeon and coffee shop, I forget which. Anyway it was fun to bump into Jon Campling and catch up. Also there I met Ann-Marie Agwu and Meena Rayann two young actresses also blindfolded models but whether they clutched their gluteus maximus muscles in the same way is between them and the photographer. What happens in blindfold club stays in blindfold club. The women both left drama school in and around 2009, not very long ago really, and they were telling me how few of the people they trained with are still acting. The ludicrously high cost of living in London is effecting so many different industries where it is neigh on impossible to find just a room in someone elses house or flat for less than £500 a month. Who can afford to do those jobs that dont pay well such as acting. (Yes some actors are rich but the vast majority are not and struggle to earn £10-15,000 per annum). I think maybe its time to look at a system like they have in the Channel Islands where they have low cost housing for real people which they can afford and then housing for the ultra rich list. Oh yes they used to have that……it was called council housing. The Boundary Estate opened in 1900, in Bethnal Green on the edgy of now trendy Shoreditch in East London was the very first council housing. Once the homes for hundreds of poor people these flats now sell for upwards of £600,000 for two rooms to those who live in the nearby city who can easily afford them or to people who stretch themselves financially beyond their means because they just want somewhere to live. What has my generation done with its short term thinking ?
