SpiderChuck Jones up date regarding hospital visit. He showed up around supper time. We chatted. The staff that wanted to see him were gone, a different shift. However, there were one or two who were pleased and took a picture of us which will be e-mailed to me and I shall post it. We got caught up in the visitor lounge. A patient wheeled in and started a conversation... in essence interrupting mine with Mr.Jones. She thought I was a visitor since I looked so natty and not hooked up with tubes. Pissed me off a bit... but... I tried to be civil because she has acute leukaemia. I explained to her dressing up is for you first and if you look good to yourself, regardless you will exude. I left the room for a walk so she could do all the talking... but Spider likes that because he equalled her. Good man. He didnt want to sing, but couldnt help it when we talked about classic R&B, Popular, and even lounge-style music and he sang a few lyrics. Then I did. We even remembered some lyrics from way back or he sang the lyrics and I followed.. or he spoke them... and I sang. It was basically just for us, because people were eating, or sleeping, and the rest working away. A few people heard him and me, then us together. Especially when I walked with him to the entrance. Because I have a low voice I sang a few lyrics from Old Man River then he joined me and took over. He has basically three octaves including falsetto. Hence we tried some other old numbers. Talk and music is our thing, not politics like before because sometimes he is too liberal with issues (he deals with teachers and schools) and I am too hard ass conservative on certain issues.
