Spiders are indeed intelligent, and mean absolutely no harm to humans. Unfortunately, they are easily startled (due to their racial past) and thus the incidence of spider bites. The irrational fear people have towards spiders, and the many efforts to destroy them, are due to a simple fact: they were indeed fleeing, and whatever they were fleeing from - its here. Its here right NOW. Arachnophobia is simply the result of mind control to destroy these refugees. But make no mistake, once the spiders are gone, WERE NEXT. (On the other hand, were-spiders are largely bestial and unintelligent, and in fact have no genetic connection with true spiders whatsoever.)
