Spirit is our Adoptable Pointer of the Day! A FairyTAIL about SPIRIT Once Upon a time a nice lady saw a very skinny dog walking on the side of the road in Oklahoma. She pulled over and decided to get her help. This dog, even though she was full of scrapes, cuts and bruises allowed the kind lady to help her. She was taken to a shelter to see if they could find her family but she was unclaimed. She also took her to a much needed doctor. This sad, hungry dog had a big growth on her chest and all of her ribs were showing. The doctors took good care of her and removed the growth. They found more than one and called them mammary tumors. Pointer Rescue was contacted and they started their search for a foster home for this sweet, stoic, strong-willed dog. All of the people that came into contact with this dog at the shelter remarked about how sweet she was to anyone & everyone, and what a strong SPIRITshe has to have endured so much in her 6-7 years. She was named SPIRIT. Spirit found a nice foster home in sunny Miami, FL to hang her hat while she awaits her FURever home. In her foster home, she has lots of foster brothers and sisters of the Canine and Feline variety and a teenager to pal around with too! She enjoys walks, hunting lizards, cuddling on the couch watching tv and LOVES massages. Spirit likes to play with her PRO foster sibling Birdie and some of the small rat terrier foster friends. She doesnt pay any attention to the kitties, even if they are right in front of her!! Remember: Spirit is strong just like her name. S - Sweet!!! P - Personality Plus! I - Irresistible!!
