Spiritual Wisdom isnt garnered through insulating yourself from the world and its suffering or negativity and remaining purely passive and removed from lifes lessons. Spiritual Wisdom comes through experiencing, confronting, and transcending lifes challenges with integrity, not looking the other way. By attaining your own self mastery over matters of oppression or convenience to reach into what is truth, what is love, what is fair and just, and then being able to help others do the same, whether by example or as a teacher. If we look at the life of Jesus, Ghandi, the Dalai Lama, Mother Teresa, Martin Luther King jnr, Nelson Mandela, Joan of Arc, Aung San Suu Kyi, Malala Yousafzai, and so many more, we see incredibly spiritual beings who faced much adversity, and in some cases persecution, exile or matrydom for simply being who they are or were, and living or speaking truth, love, compassion and peace into places it was most needed, and least wanted at the time. That takes courage, and strength of chatacter, not passivity and insulation. Even Ghandhi, with his passive resistance, was still making a stand, and it changed the entire course of his countrys future, overthrew oppression, freeing his fellow countrymen and women from foreign rulership, taking the power of their destiny into their own hands... from there the path ahead was at least their choice as their sovereignty was now their own, whether for better or worse, at least it became theirs. Empowerment isnt about silencing the outside world, nor removing oneself from it, but having inner silence and peace within an otherwise rowdy outer world and environment, and sharing that gift with others.
