Split a loaf of Italian unsliced bread, (like you are going to - TopicsExpress

Split a loaf of Italian unsliced bread, (like you are going to make a sub) brown a pound of ground chuck, add ketchup, mustard a little brown sugar (sounds like a sloppy joe..) spread the mix on the bread, add sliced fresh tomatoes, sliced onion, slices of green pepper, or hot peppers if you like, and arrange them prettily on the top of the sloppy. Now add some sliced cheese (hot pepper, sharp cheddar...), arranged to cover all the goodies. Slide that into the oven (on the rack, not a pan) and bake on 300 for 10-15 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly, and the veggies soften a little. Take out then, and cut into manageable chunks. Mom always calls them Sunday Sandwiches. Quick, easy... we call them YUMMY!!
