Spoiler. We have all seen the disclaimers being posted on FB. They all start out something like this...As of January 5 etcetera. But here is the reality of it. The problem is...the disclaimer only provides a false sense of security. Once a photo/video etc has been uploaded to FB it essentially is there forever. You can delete it from your page which only means you cant see your own photos and videos. The material was uploaded to the FB servers and ONLY they have access to...and only they can delete material from their own servers. To top that...when we signed up for Facebook we had to agree to THEIR terms & conditions essentially signing away our right to privacy. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. The bottom line? Dont post anything on Facebook that you would be ashamed of or embarrassed by.
