Spoiler alert: Push Presents. I wrote about this some years ago and people went insane on me - like Id told them that Id rather just throw the baby in the garbage and sport my diamond as the real product of the pregnancy. The faux controversy even got picked up by a bunch of news outlets. It was such a stupid thing for people to be upset about. My push presents meant the world to me and ultimately were all combined into one piece of jewelry that I absolutely consider a family heirloom. Waking up in a recovery room after a traumatic surgery sans my baby was awful, but having my husband there presenting me with my sons birth stone took some of the sting out of that moment.
