Sport: Basketball (4* NBA Play of the Day) Market: Los Angeles Clippers @ Atlanta Hawks Pick: Total OVER 200 points Odds: $1.90 Agency: Bet365 Wager: 4 Units Game Time: 11:30am AEDT Analysis: The LA Clippers (12-6) come off a 100-105 loss at the Indiana Pacers. Jamal Crawford had 20 points while Chris Paul and Blake Griffin each added double doubles in a losing cause. Despite shooting 43 percent from the field, the Clippers still made it the century mark. The hosts Atlanta Hawks (9-10) come off a heartbreaking 100-102 loss at the San Antonio Spurs. Jeff Teague had 19 points and seven assists as all five starters for the Hawks scored in double digits. The Hawks have allowed opponents an average of 103.5 points per game over the their five and should be in tough here against a Clippers team that is averaging over 104 this season. The two last meetings between these two teams as seen the higher number hit. Nine of 13 games where the Clippers have been labeled favorite have seen a high number as well. Note that five of seven non conference games including the Hawks have seen the “over” hit and we expect to see it here. Take the OVER 200 points here for a strong 4 units. Sport: Basketball Market: Dallas Mavericks @ New Orleans Pelicans Pick: Mavericks +5 points Odds: $1.61 Agency: Bet365 Wager: 3 Units Game Time: 12:10pm AEDT Analysis: The New Orleans Hornets are without Anthony Davis now. Theyve initially played well without him, but his absence is definitely going to hurt the team in a big way in the long run. New Orleans is terrible defensively without Davis. Dallas has the type of offense that could pile up the points in a hurry against this poor Pelicans defense. Monta Ellis and Dirk Nowitzki are working well together, and the Mavericks built some momentum late yesterday against Charlotte. The Mavericks are 11-3 ATS in their last 14 games when playing on zero days of rest. The Pelicans are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games after scoring 125 points or more in their last game. The Pelicans are 0-5-1 ATS in their last 6 against the Western Conference. A 20-3 angle. We’re taking a few points with the start but think the Mavericks have a good chance at this one outright. Take the Mavericks +5 points here for 3 units. Sport: Basketball Market: Phoenix Suns @ Houston Rockets Pick: Superline: Suns +16 ½ points & total OVER 205 ½ points Odds: $1.91 Agency: Centrebet Wager: 3 Units Game Time: 12:10pm AEDT Analysis: The Phoenix Suns are showing tremendous value as a double-digit underdog to the Houston Rockets tonight. They blew a big first-half lead against the Grizzlies to lose last night, but since they had two days rest coming into that game and are very deep, they will be plenty fresh tonight. The Suns are still one of the most underrated teams in the NBA this season. They are off to a 9-9 start with seven of their losses coming by 8 points or fewer. They have proven they can play with anybody as evidenced by their narrow road losses to Oklahoma City (96-103), San Antonio (96-99) and Portland (89-90). Houston isnt the healthiest of teams right now. Starting point guard Jeremy Lin, who was off to a tremendous start this season, is sidelined by a knee injury. Starting forward Chandler Parsons is questionable to play tonight as he nurses a back injury. Phoenix is 7-1 ATS in its last eight games following an ATS loss. The Suns are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 road games. Phoenix is 10-3-1 ATS in its last 14 vs. Western Conference opponents. The Suns are 22-7 ATS in their last 29 meetings with the Rockets, including 19-5 ATS in their last 24 meetings in Houston. We’re going to take the Superline here as we see this being a typically high scoring Rockets game so the OVERs shouldn’t be an issue, but it also gives us an extra 6 points on the Suns as insurance. Take the Suns +16 ½ points and Total OVER 205 ½ points here for 3 units. Sport: Basketball Market: Indiana Pacers @ Utah Jazz Pick: Jazz +9 ½ points Odds: $1.97 Agency: Betfair Wager: 3 Units Game Time: 1:05pm AEDT Analysis: The Utah Jazz hit rock bottom when they started 1-14. Oddsmakers had to adjust their power ratings for the Jazz to an all-time low because of that start. As a result, this team has been showing a ton of value of late and will be going forward. The Jazz have won three of their last four games overall while going 3-1 ATS in the process. That includes home wins over both Chicago (89-83) and Houston (109-103), as well as a road win at Phoenix (112-104). A big reason for this resurgence has been the debut of rookie point guard Trey Burke, who has been a playmaker in the early going. Indianas stock could not be bigger due to its 16-1 start to the season. As a result, oddsmakers have had to adjust their power ratings for the Pacers to an all-time high. This will create value in fading Indiana going forward, and that was evident in its 102-106 loss at Portland last time out when it was actually a favourite in that game. With games against San Antonio and Oklahoma City on deck, this could be a huge letdown spot for Indiana. We look for the Pacers to be overlooking the Jazz enough to let Utah cover, and possibly win this game outright. The Jazz are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 after scoring 100 points or more in their previous game. Utah is 8-3 ATS in its last 11 games overall. Utah has won six straight home meetings with Indiana dating back to 2007. It hasnt lost at home against the Pacers since 2005. Note that Betfair is offering an extra point on the spread so there’s value there. Take the Jazz +9 ½ points here for 3 units. Sport: Basketball Market: San Antonio Spurs @ Minnesota Timberwolves Pick: Timberwolves +7 ½ points Odds: $1.66 Agency: Bet365 Wager: 3 Units Game Time: 1:35pm AEDT Analysis: The Minnesota Timberwolves host the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday night. Minnesota is coming off a 113-103 loss to Oklahoma City, while San Antonio squeaked by Atlanta in their last game, 102-100. This play is largely situational. The Spurs aren’t shy about taking nights off during the regular season, and this could be one of those games, as this game appears out of place on their schedule, forcing them out onto the road to break up a stretch of three home games. In addition to that, the Timberwolves have the kind of athleticism and skill that gives the Spurs fits. Minnesota’s home court advantage is also largely underrated. The team is 6-3 at home, but a closer look at their home losses shows that the team is even better than their record indicates. Minnesota’s home wins include victories over good teams like Oklahoma City and Dallas, while their home losses came against good teams in Golden State, a four-point loss to the Clippers, and a seven-point loss to Denver. The Timberwolves are 2-0 SU in their last two home games against San Antonio with Kevin Love in the lineup. He averaged 21.0 points and 15.5 rebounds in those two games. Take the Timberwolves +7 ½ points here for 3 units. #EasyMoney
