Sporting Success Durga Boro, a tribal youth from Kokrajhar, Bodoland, (Assam, India) created a niche for himself in the arena of football bringing glory to football fans across India. He is a potential striker playing in the Forward for NorthEeast United FC in the ongoing Indian Super League. His past experiences include playing for Shillong Lajong club on loan from Mumbai Tigers in the I-League. The Guwahati franchise of Indian Super League has roped in Boro for its inaugural season Boro was hails from a remote Gendrabil village in Kokrajhar district. His journey into sports began at a very tender age, but his first major achievement was the Subroto Cup in 1999 when he played for Kokrajhar HNMP School in the under-14 category. The striker played the under-14 Subroto Cup for Assam and the under-16 nationals as well and was part of the under-16 India camp in 2002 and 2003. Boro started his footballing career during the 2009-10 I-League season with Churchill Brothers S.C. in the I-League. In July 2012, Boro signed for Mumbai Tigers F.C., newly formed team from Mumbai coached by Bimal Ghosh. In 2013 I-League 2nd Division Final Round, he had scored the only goal in the match against Langsning F.C. On 6 February 2014 he signed for Grassroot Shillong Lajong F.C.
