As you no doubt. already know and have guessed correctly, it was not the Proposed War memorial to honor the 164 lads slaughtered during World war One,or the 46 lads from World War Two that where killed fighting the Nazis and Japanese Imperialism. or the poor lad that was blown to pieces in Northern Ireland during the troubles in 1972, All these sons of the Neilston Village Were, In no doubt, all killed dealing with LOCAL MATTERS!!! The People from the Neilston in East Renfrewshire are fighting through the vehicle of the Local Neilston War Memorial Association to get erected a fitting monument to honor these brave soldiers who have NO Memorial to mark or acknowledge their Sacrifice for this country.
