Spotlight on Arab-America! Teachers are often looked upon as a major, respected influence in how we grow intellectually and choose career opportunities in life! My friend, Jim Hosney, an Arab-American, long-time high school Film Studies and Literature Teacher at Crossroads School For Arts & Sciences, located in Santa Monica, California, who also taught graduate-level Film History at the American Film Institute (AFI)! Jim became the most influential Hollywood icon in show business because of the many people Jim taught and influenced for many years! Many of Hosneys students have went on to become successful in the entertainment industry as Studio Executives, Producers, Directors, Screenwriters, Actors / Actresses, and the like, including Actresses Gwyneth Paltrow, Zooey Deschanel; Actors Jack Black, Gary Coleman; among many others in Hollywood!
