Spotlight on ~RG Lauren who is our September feature in the 2014 RG Calendar! ~RG LAUREN! I began my journey in April 2013 after attending my first ever mud run, the Warrior Dash. I was talked into it by my aunt. I was at the heaviest I had ever been in my life, and had just overcome a near death health problem. I was looking for something to wake me up and make me feel alive again. Needless to say, this was just what the doctor ordered! Although I am far from my goal, I am happy to say that I am at least inching away from the life I used to lead. I am eating better and becoming more active. I have already done 6 5k mud runs and usually try to knock one or two out every month. I have a great support system in my aunt and husband who motivate me through each race, and I only hope I can inspire people as well. I may be a big girl, but I will be damned if I am not out there giving it my all!
