Spotted a brilliant rant on FB this morning on the lack of humility and customer service skills displayed by Doctors receptionists when dealing with NHS patients. Personally over the years Ive been registered with four different practices and at each one, with maybe the odd exception, the common thread of receptionist behaviour has overwhelmingly been rudeness, obstructiveness, bad manners and displays of general miserableness! For the majority of us who pay our taxes and NI contributions, we are indirectly funding the salaries of these cheerless people and are in fact NHS customers, so surely we are entitled to better levels of service? A little more humanity, understanding and patience perhaps?
