Spreading Holiday Cheer - Part 4: In our recent contest, Caroline Reid received $50 from PVFCU to help buy gifts for a local family who otherwise cant afford it, as well as provide some food for them. Caroline said, My mom knew the family well and asked what food they would be interested in having for a meal and they said they love chicken and potatoes, so my mom and I made a roast chicken, homemade mashed potatoes and gravy, home-canned green beans, homemade rolls, sweet tea, and chocolate chip cookies for their dinner and took it to them. I gave the $50 to the family, and used the $25 I received for some of the food and to fill 2 stockings with some gifts for the children. The family was very happy and they were all full of smiles! Thank you Park View Federal Credit Union for helping me make a local family so happy this Christmas season! #neighborsservingneighbors
