Spreading Peace and changing lives one person at a time! Hello High Desert residence, I am a local foreign exchange program coordinator for ERDT Envision, I have two groups of teenage and college age Japanese and Chinese students coming to the HD this summer. I am looking for a few good families willing to share their hearts and homes, while sharing our culture and experiencing theirs. They arrive toward the end of July and stay for four weeks. It is a wonderful way to see the world through the eyes and experiences of someone from another culture, you will establish life long friendships, it is a great joy for most. Here are Guidelines for one of the programs: must have one stay at home parent, must have at least one teenager in the home, and must treat the student like a part of your own family. Guidelines for second program, Anyone can host, student must have own bed, three meals a day and family must attend an orientation, a welcome party and a Farwell party.
