Sprint car driver Jamie Collard, 33, of Burford, Ontario, informed Selinsgrove Speedway public relations director Steve Inch this evening (Tuesday) that he expects to be released from the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pa., tomorrow (Wednesday). Collard was involved in a lap three crash in Saturday night’s 25-lap Empire Super Sprint-sanctioned 360 sprint car race at the half-mile oval. Collard was transported by ambulance to Geisinger, where he has been receiving treatment for injuries to his back and ribs. Duane Mausteller, 41, of Bloomsburg, Pa., was also involved in the accident and remains in critical condition at Geisinger. Shawn Donath, of South Onondago, N.Y., a third driver involved in the crash, was not injured. Please keep these drivers and their families in your thoughts and prayers.
