Spurred on by what they see as an inadequate quality of education in El Paso public schools, a new advocacy group is emerging to give business leaders a voice in the direction of local education. The Council for Regional Economic Expansion and Educational Development (CREEED), a 501(c)6 organization, has three broad goals, said the groups chairman, Richard Castro: closing gaps in educational achievement, providing a quality education for all children, and creating a cradle to career strategy for future workers.
