Squat and Deadlift Night..... So just before Christmas I failed on my attempt to increase my 1RM on squat. I failed at depth. So my focus over the coming weeks is working on my depth on my squat and using paused and boxed squats. So tonights session was: Squats WU - Bar x3, 60x3, 100 x3, 140 x3, Set 1 - 180 x3 Set 2 - 200 x2 All focusing on squat depth. Paused squats (3 seconds) - 140 x3 150 x3 160 x3 After this I moved onto Deadlifts working at 3 reps. I built up to 230kg only managing 2 reps (video). By this time I was f****d!!! So I was quite happy with that work. So lessons to learn... - learn from your failures - work on your weaknesses - plan! - work your arse off! Happy Friday :)
