Squeaky-Clean Saturday: Jars are all the rage for craft projects - TopicsExpress

Squeaky-Clean Saturday: Jars are all the rage for craft projects and storage around the house these days. Save money on buying jars by using jars you already have (like pasta sauce jars, pickle jars, etc.). But what about those unsightly labels and their residue? For an inexpensive, chemical-free sticker glue remover, mix equal parts baking soda and some kind of oil (vegetable oil, olive oil, etc.). Rub the paste all over the jars and leave it for a few minutes. The oil will soften the glue and the baking soda provides a scrubbing abrasive. Wipe it off with a damp cloth, or for the more stubborn adhesives, a Brillo pad. Voila! Clean jars ready for use.
