Sri Lanka will meet Taipei in the quarter finals today Sri Lanka U18 sevens team beat Philippines 47-0 this evening (18th August) to place second in their group and will meet Taipei today at 11.00 am in the 2nd Asian youth Games being held in Nanjing, China. Gayashan Gunathilaka scored three tries for the winners while Dilan Neuman scored two and M. Taariq and Viraj Weerasekera scored a try each. Sri Lanka playing in group B defeated China 31-0 yesterday but lost to Hong Kong 29-0 this morning. In the other quarter final matches Thailand will meet Philippines at 10.40 am, Hong Kong will meet Korea at 11.20 and Japan will meet China at 11.40 am. While the semi finals will take place tomorrow at 4.40 pm and 5.00 pm respectively, the final match for the Gold medal is also scheduled to take place at 7.50 pm the same day.
