Sri Mohammed Majid Hussain, H.W.Mayor, GHMC along with Floor Leaders, Standing Committee Members, Zonal Commissioners, Additional Commissioners (Revenue & Finance), Chief Engineer held a review meeting on all the estimates prepared for Corporator budget for the year 2014-15 in his chambers today. H.W.Mayor said that total sanctions for the Corporators budget of Rs. 250 crores which has been given in the Resolution of the General Body in which Rs. 2 crores have been made available for peripheral areas and Rs. 1.5 crores for the core area. The total number of wards for which the proposals have been received only for 128 wards, estimates have been prepared for 713 works amounting to Rs. 141 crores, the sanction given till now is for only 100 crores for 527 works. He further stated that for SC, ST sub plan 36 works have been identified and allotted Rs. 5.7 crores, for Tribal sub plan 8 works have been sanctioned amounting to Rs. 1 crore. H.W.Mayor has instructed all the Zonal Commissioners to expedite the works on priority because the total of Rs. 250 crores only 100 crores have been sanctioned and Rs. 150 crores have to be sanctioned on priority and moreover all the wards have to be covered. In this connection he has directed the Zonal Commissioners to prepare the estimates so that the development works can be expedited and best civic amenities can be provided to the citizens of the Hyderabad, he added.
