Srinagar/ Jammu: August 11 President of Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP) Mehbooba Mufti was put under house arrest in Srinagar today. Giving this information PDP spokesman Naeem Akhtar said, “ Mehbooba was scheduled to visit Kishtwar today but she was informed by the police that she cannot move out of her residence as she has been placed under house arrest.” Meanwhile Sach News reporter Jammu Dalvir Singh Chib said that senior BJP leader and leader of the opposition in Rajya Sabha Arun Jaitley was detained by Police at Jammu airport and did not allow him to proceed to Kishtwar. BJP had announced on Saturday that Jaitley would lead a team of party leaders to Kishtwar to access the situation.
