Srinagar July 24: Curfew Imposed in Parts of Budgam Authorities today imposed indefinite curfew in some areas of Badgam district in central Kashmir as a precautionary measure, following sectarian violence in the area, an official spokesperson said. Kashmir Divisional Commissioner Shailander Kumar and Inspector General of Police besides separatist organisations and religious leaders have appealed to people to maintain peace. There were reports of clashes between two groups of people in the district, during which a numberof people were injured and religious places were attacked. The spokesperson said Kumar held a meeting with ulema, religious leaders, and senior citizens of the district for maintaining peace and harmony among the people.
