Srinagar, July 3: State Congress Chief Prof Saifuddin Soz called on Union Home Minister Shushil Kumar Shinde and Defence Minister A K Antony on Wednesday and discussed the prevailing situation in Jammu and Kashmir. According to a statement issued here, Soz met Shinde and Antony this morning in New Delhi and held a threadbare discussion on the prevailing situation in J&K. “Prof Soz explained to Home Minister and defence Minister, his perception of timing for holding Elections to Block Development Councils (BDCs) and District Development Boards (DDBs). Elections for local bodies,” the statement said. Soz during his meeting with the Defence minister talked issues related to human rights violations “Antony reiterated his position that the message is loud and clear for all concerned that no human rights violation would be tolerated and whosoever crosses the limit of law would have to be brought to justice,” the statement said.
