St. Amant wrestled at the Catholic Duals this weekend. I think I can say it definitely wasnt the best showing although we did finish with 2 wins. The team record moves to 3-3 as we lost to Teurlings Catholic, Catholic Baton Rouge, and lost by 7 points to a McKinley team we just beat by over 20 point in a match that was decided by a table mistake, although it shouldnt have been that close to begin with. During the book correction I was ejected from the tournament which kept the mistake from being corrected. I would like to congratulate Joshua Averett, Clint Brownell, and Jordan Averett for all going 5-0 on the day. Between the 3, they scored 75 of our 148 points. There were a couple other guys who had good days that came up on the short end of some tough opponents as well. The results from all five matches are below. St. Amant will be back in action Wednesday at home vs. episcopal start time 6pm in the new gym.
