Lighter steer calves under 650 lbs and all weights of heifers traded steady to 4.00 lower with the exception of those fancy heifers purchased for replacements which were fully steady. Demand continues good for all classes, but some record prices are starting to level out. Orders for top quality lightweight heifer calves were noticeably not as strong as recent weeks. Supply included 63 percent steers, 33 percent heifers, and 4 percent feeder bulls. Around 62 percent of the cattle weighed over 600 lbs.
